Tami Weiss

Hello,

I am a web designer and sometimes developer in the Milwaukee area. I created beautiful, standards compliant webpages that are not only usable, but deliciously delightful. Check out my portfolio.

Friday, I had the distinction of having one of my images be featured in a major blog. Unfortunately, that blog was photoshop disasters. Yes, I did this.

Notice the little girl’s hand on the broomstick? I didn’t. Which is how it got on PSDisasters in the first place.

We actually noticed the problem within a day of it going live – one of our CSR reps noticed it and reported it (this image has actually been off of the site for a week or more before PSDisasters posted it ). I even commented “Good thing we caught it before Photoshop Disasters caught wind of it.” I guess someone spotted it and sent it to them. After it was discovered, I spent most of the day at Friday just mortified even though everyone had a good laugh about it. I’m over the embarrassment, for the most part, and now its just funny.

So how does something like this happen? When we get these requests, we usually have just a couple of hours to complete them. They’re based on whats in stock or out of stock, etc . . . Often times there are multiple ones that have to be done. Not that they’re difficult, at least this time of year its generally cutting out a photo and pasting it into the background. Which is part of the problem, after a while I just wasn’t paying attention. Select, delete, paste. Select, delete, paste.

I can assure you though, I will be now.
